Foothill Christian Academy steps in as a guide with empathy and authority. Understanding the profound responsibility parents feel, FCA offers a hybrid model backed by experienced educators and a proven, biblically-based curriculum. This curriculum not only emphasizes academic rigor but also fosters critical thinking from a Christian perspective.

Imagine a school year where education is not a source of stress but a joyful journey. At Foothill Christian Academy, parents and children alike experience the thrill of learning in an environment that aligns with their values. With our hybrid model, students enjoy community through classroom learning, along with the personalized touch of home education, fostering both academic success and strong family bonds.

a hybrid school is not a co-op

A hybrid school carries the weight of planning and delivering core instruction for students. A homeschool co-op exists to provide supplemental experiences and teaching for students, but they are generally not intended to provide the core of a student’s education.

FCA is a private school

FCA is a Private School Satellite Program (PSP) under California State law that has filed an affidavit with the state. However, the reason that FCA is a hybrid is that it has elements of a private school while giving parents much greater involvement in their child’s education compared to a typical school.

What are the benefits of a hybrid school?

The hybrid approach gives students a private school experience when on campus, but gives parents significant involvement in their child’s education. The benefits include:

  • More affordable than 5-day private school

  • Consistent biblical worldview taught at school and home

  • Experienced educators make the education plan and teach core courses

  • Significant parental involvement

  • Curriculum designed for use at school and home

  • Homeschooled students benefit from classroom experience with peers

A hybrid has a perfect balance between being on campus and in class?

Our unique hybrid schedule includes full schooling on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, a half-day on Thursdays, and at-home learning on Mondays and Fridays. This model not only helps children make friends but also lets families connect over shared values, as noted by our satisfied parent testimonials.
