Rachel Mills
Kindergarten
Next to studying the Bible, Rachel considers spending time with children her favorite activity. She earned her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Biola University and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction as well as an Administrative Services Credential from Chapman University. She taught in the Ontario-Montclair School District before homeschooling her four children from kindergarten through high school. She has been blessed to serve together with her children over the years in Children’s Ministry and Awana where she serves as Cubbie Director. She loves the outdoors and playing Volleyball with her family.
Sandy Anderson
3rd & 4th Grade
Sandy has been a teacher for over 35 years. Her first teaching assignment was a 4th Grade Bilingual classroom in Los Angeles Unified. After that she substituted for K – 8th in both public and private Christian schools. Additionally, she taught her own children at home and administered a home school group.
She and her husband Mark have attended Foothill Bible Church for 20 years. She has five children and five grandchildren.
She is passionate about bringing God’s Word to bear on all areas of academics and disciplines of life.
David beck
7th Grade
David is a National Board certified teacher and has 35 years of experience in the classroom. He earned a Master's Degree in Leadership Studies with an emphasis on Educational Ministry from Azusa Pacific University. He has spent most of his career teaching US Government and Economics to 12th graders at both public and private Christian schools, and for seven years he taught 7th graders Math and History.
He has served in church ministry in a number of different capacities, teaching adult Sunday school classes, leading evening home groups, serving as assistant youth pastor, and playing drums with the worship team.
He is married with three adult children and two grandchildren. He also serves as the boys tennis head coach for Western Christian High School.
Annie Price
1st & 2nd Grade
Annie and her family came to FBC in 2017. She has always enjoyed working with children of all ages. Annie has been homeschooling her four children for the past 12 years, two are now graduated. She will be sending her twin 4th grade boys to FCA and is excited at the chance to be able to teach the 1st/2nd grade class. She has faithfully and joyfully served in children’s ministry since attending FBC. She and her family also enjoy serving in the Awana program.
Michelle Lane
5th & 6th Grade
Michelle and her husband, Joe, have been attending FBC for 34 years where they have served in several capacities. She received her undergraduate degree in marketing, a minor in English, and a secondary teaching credential from Cal Poly Pomona. Before joining Foothill Christian Academy, Michelle was in education for 25 years. During those years she taught in two public schools, a charter school, and homeschool classes here at FBC. She also taught at Cal Baptist where she received her Master’s Degree in comparative literature. Michelle currently leads a ladies Bible study and loves to read, hike, garden, and sew. Other loves, in addition to Joe, are her dogs and Alabama football.
Alicia Gonzalez
1st & 2nd Grade
Alicia grew up in Upland. She attended The University of Redlands earning her Bachelors in Spanish in 2003. She later completed her Masters in Educational Administration at The University of La Verne in 2007. Over the last 20 years, Alicia has taught elementary, middle school, and high school. She and her husband, Jorge , “J”, have been members at FBC since 2019 and they welcomed their first daughter in 2020. Alicia looks forward to serving God and teaching the children at Foothill Christian Academy.
Julia Buehl
5th & 6th Grade
Julia has been on staff at Foothill Bible Church for the past ten years serving in Children's Ministry and as editor of the FBC Connection newsletter. She is currently a Sunday school teacher to upper elementary (12 years), and has served in AWANA for 10 years, and Student Ministries for 8 years.
She holds a degree in Speech Communication. Julia married Scott 37 years ago and raised two children. They homeschooled them all the way through high school using BJU Press curriculum from 3rd-12th grade and are graduates of California Polytechnic University, Pomona. Julia has two grandchildren who live in Indiana.
