Continuous Enrollment

What if you had to sign up for your cell phone service every year? After all, they can just notify the provider anytime they want to change. People would wonder why they needed to go through the extra steps every year to keep what they are happy with. Yet, this is what often happens with private schools. Parents are asked annually to re-enroll their children to ensure they remain in the school.

A better process is to employ continuous enrollment so that families do not need to do anything to secure their child a place for the following year. Once students are enrolled they remain enrolled until the parent informs the school that they are withdrawing their child. There is no re-enrollment fee, but the school needs to know if a family plans to withdraw before the next year begins. Instead of a re-enrollment fee, the school charges a tuition prepayment in February, which reduces their financial responsibility in the fall. The prepayment indicates a commitment to having children continue at the school and is applied to the following year’s tuition bill.

Many schools, including Foothill Christian Academy, use this common sense solution to the school needing to plan for the following year. It is a relief for our families to be able to be continuously enrolled.
